DEAR LOVERS OF BILTONG, PLEASE NOTE:
At Byron Jerky and Biltong we don't just say no to preservatives... we really don't use them.
Biltong will leave our premises with 2 - 4 week shelf life on it depending on seasonal conditions and it needs to be stored in the fridge after you open it.
As per the legal storage instructions, you will extend the shelf life by an additional 3 months by storing a sealed pack in the fridge at or below 4C
Our Jerky is much dryer, leaves the factory with 12 months shelf life on it, and doesn't require refrigeration.
